Case Study: How slow and steady still works.
This case study is not my work.
It's one I found that could be inspirational for you.
No names, no pack drill. This is to protect the site from copy-cats.
Not that you'd do that, but some would.
He started this site in December 2019 and had only 17 posts up by February.
Then he didn't do anything with the site for most of 2020.
In December of 2020 he decided to get a bit more serious and put in some effort.
At that time, there were about 1,000 visitors per month, and the total revenue was around $6.
From January 2021 to September 2021, he has added 49 posts intermittently and has grown the revenue to over $400 per month.
Most of the revenue has come from Amazon, with the remainder from Google Adsense.
Now, you and I know that this isn't a massive income, but it is more than the monthly income of 80% of Internet marketers.
His average post size is 856 words, well within the capabilities of anyone here. (There are 287 words in this email.)
He gets his target keywords from answer the public, ubersuggest and ahrefs.
He has also tried outsourcing the writing but hasn't had good results, so he writes most posts himself.
The difference between what most people do and this person is that he set himself a target, kept focused on it, and did the work.
Hmmm... A lesson here for us all, I think.
Regards,
Brent.
