You choose what type of content you create.
There are opposing schools of thought on content regardless of the media.
Some people will tell you that any course or product should have the thud factor.
The thud factor is when there is so much content that it'll take the user a week to get through it all.
In today's fast-paced world, I suspect most people are like me and never finish most big courses or training modules.
It kind of makes them irrelevant, don't you think?
They certainly don't hold the value that I want.
It's the same with a blog post.
Most SEO experts will tell you that you need at least one pillar post of 2,000 words plus to rank a page, but most humans won't read that massive wall of words.
There is a video that I'm watching in stages over weeks because it's over two hours long.
Most webinars are at least an hour long.
All of that is too much to take in in a single sitting.
The alternative is multiple short posts linked together.
The same with videos.
Most webinars could be cut to 30 minutes without loss of content because that's what I do with them.
I record them, cut out the fluff, and get about that amount of content.
Often the content is so poor that I then throw it away, but I haven't wasted hours on the webinar at an inconvenient time.
Currently, I might write a 2 - 3,000 word blog post which I cut up to around 4 - 500 word posts and link them together.
Not that I care much about SEO.
I'm more interested in the reader having an easier time following along, plus I can run ads and links on each page that are relevant to that section rather than trying to build them into the various areas on a single page.
Quantity brings its own level of quality.
It's even easier to do with the current crop of A.I. tools.
You can generate ideas, titles, subtitles, bullet points for each subtitle, and a start on the content for each bullet point.
Writing a 2 - 5,000 word blog post that you can break down and remain on the subject with will only take you a few hours at most.
Read yesterday's email for a neat hack to expand your use of any content you create and use this to speed up your prompting ability to get the best from any A.I. tool.
