That's the title of a book I first read many years ago.
https://amzn.to/3zrhziF it's still available on Amazon.
The concept is still true today.
It's something that has helped me many times over.
I regularly found that not being in first place didn't mean I didn't get anything.
In professional golf, players get paid down to the 60th finisher for some tournaments.
Tennis players get paid based on prize money, endorsements, etc.
The top 200 players make a decent living from their prize money.
You don't have to be number one to make a decent living.
It's the same for all the professional athletes, the income may vary, but there are thousands of athletes who make a decent living in their chosen sport.
Only one person in each sport can be number one.
With my current activity, cycling, I can see on Strava where I compare with other riders on the same track.
Most of those in the top ten are riding the same section twice as fast as I do.
Do I care?
Not at all.
I'm in this for the exercise and my fitness.
I don't have to beat them.
I try to beat my best times over those sections.
It's the same with my Internet business.
I don't have to beat Russell Brunson in income.
I only have to do better than my last effort.
How are you tracking at beating your last best effort?
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. Would writing better help you earn more?
Most people would think so.
On the Internet, you only have the written word to persuade your reader to action.
If what you wrote didn't have the desired effect, you can try again.
Rewrite it, present it in a different format, show it on another platform, put it in front of a different audience.
Try all of these.
