When I'm looking at a new product I check a few things.
Scammy marketers are masters of sales letters.
They know which buttons to push to entice the sale.
But there are always signs that their rubbish is too good to be true.
In general, anything that looks like no skill, no list, no money, and you'll still make thousands will be rubbish.
Any of the know purveyors of said crap involved as one of the originators or giving a testimonial for the product is a red flag.
I do find it amusing that these people produce products claiming that you don't need a list to make bank when the first notification I get is via email.
They'll claim that email is dead so they can flog you their rubbish, but email is not dead.
It's not even on life support.
They'll tell you that you should do all your marketing on Facebook and use their pixel plus retargeting to grab as much money as possible.
But Facebook sends me daily emails about something or other to get me back on the platform.
Twitter sends me emails.
Instagram and Pinterest send me emails.
Linkedin sends me emails.
Why would I ignore email as a traffic source when all the big social media platforms use it the same way?
That doesn't make any sense to me at all.
All marketers, prospective or experienced, must be adding to their email lists daily.
They must also write emails on a schedule that works for them and their people.
It doesn't have to be daily.
It could be weekly or monthly as long as their people know when to expect the next email.
