"We need to confirm your identity", he said.
"But you called me, you have my phone number, and you know my name."
Why do they do this?
Big companies think they're being secure by checking my identity when they contact me.
Fair enough if I contact them, but if they contact me, shouldn't I be checking that they're who they claim to be?
In future, that's what I'm going to do.
I will query them and ask them to prove who they are before I talk with them.
I'll ask for a copy of their recording to be sent to me "for training purposes and to combat fraud".
Perhaps I should get an app to record our conversations and let them know they are being recorded.
If you know of a good one, please let me know.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. Something that doesn't need to be cross-checked in either direction are good comments on quality blogs.
I'm still using TrafficLinkr daily, and the results are exceptional in gaining visitors to my website.
The A.I. generated comments, which I use around 80% of the time, get the blog owner to approve and reply to, which indicates that the quality is excellent.
I also get replies to the ones I edit, even though I usually keep most of the A.I. response.
