This is how you should start any email, post, or sales letter.
I don't always do this, and my responses show it.
You must start every communication with the desired result in mind.
What do you want the reader/watcher/listener to do when finished?
Click a link?
Subscribe?
Buy something?
Download something?
Comment?
Some other action?
Once you've made that decision, creating the content that leads them to that action becomes so much easier.
The worst way to create content is to start creating, then when you're done, try to figure out what you can tack on the end.
You'll know when you get it right, which may take practice.
As my old sales trainer used to say, "The meaning of your communication is the results you get."
Watch your partner when you get your comment wrong to prove that point.
We are all in the influence business.
We all try to influence another person's actions when we cannot see them, and everybody consuming our content is different.
It's a challenge and takes practice.
You won't get it right all the time.
I certainly don't, and I've been doing this for years.
I do find that writing an almost daily email is a great way to practice because I can see the results of my words immediately.
If you were to practice the same way, you might like to make sure that you skew the responses your way as much as possible.
