There is a distinct possibility that you don’t get this email.
You probably won’t reply to let me know you didn’t get it either.
With the impending moronic behaviour of Google and Yahoo us email marketers are having meltdowns across the Internet.
All the autoresponders are unable to help with any of this.
Since their business sends emails, it makes sense to me that they are the ones who should be making sure the emails they send are valid.
That’s not what’s happening though.
Everyone who has an email address now has to validate their emails and domains and set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records in the DNS section of their web host.
Those who don’t have a website associated with their email domain now have to pay someone to validate their email address and pass that info to any service that requests it.
Theoretically, this will stop the spam.
It won’t though.
The spammers will set up free domains and hosting, set up the email correctly, and keep on spamming.
It will just be harder for the rest of us to pick them out of the legitimate emails.
Things went down exactly the same way when these puffed-up jerks insisted on every website being SSL secure.
The spammers had their sites set up with SSL before most of the other legitimate sites did.
People are incredibly creative when it comes to figuring out how to get around hurdles.
Even in totalitarian regimes, people find ways to slip through loopholes to do what they want.
I’m still working my way through the rules and regulations, so there may be interruptions in the email delivery. I'm sorry; it’s Google’s fault.
Regards,
Brent.
