Success is not linear, chaos rules.
While we all recognise geometric shapes, nothing in nature conforms to those shapes except some spiral shells.
Everything else is irregular.
But nature left alone is highly successful.
Nature conforms to chaos theory.
Every project I have ever worked on has had chaos thrown into the mix.
In my role as a design engineer, one of the biggest unknowns we had to contend with was what was underground.
Sure, we had ground penetrating radar that gave us an idea of the services in the area, etc.
We had drawings from previous work that showed where other services were.
Mostly they matched, but not always.
The reality was that despite our best efforts, it wasn't until the excavation started that we knew for sure what was there.
The advantage of the chaos in any project was that it gave us all a chance to be more creative than we might have been.
It's the same with every project you undertake.
There will always be something that goes wrong.
Your website gets hacked.
Your computer crashes, and you lose the document you were working on.
Your outsourcer gets ill and cannot deliver on time.
You put the wrong link in your email.
Any number of things can go wrong when there are more than two moving parts.
Instead of panicking, you now get the opportunity to be creative and excel.
Things break, and it's your job to fix them.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. The best laid plans of mice and men, etc.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't make plans.
You must make plans and activity targets.
If you don't know where you're going, how will you know when you get there?
How do you know you are not already there?
Take serious action towards the lifestyle you want with these simple steps.
