Most of us have days when we're productive and days when nothing seems to go right.
That's pretty normal.
Something to do with Biorhythms, but this email is not about those.
Biorhythms affect your internal motivation and the way you feel.
Unfortunately, when we only work well when we feel good, our chances of getting stuff done are limited.
What we need is to ignore motivation and work on discipline.
When we work to a fixed schedule, regardless of how we feel, we are more productive more often.
And that's how we need to be to reach our goals.
The universe doesn't care about your feelings.
As I used to say to my first wife, "there are 1.4 billion Chinese who don't care how you feel".
Probably not the smartest thing you can say to your wife.
I was trying to convey the message that it doesn't matter how you feel.
You just have to get on with it and get stuff done.
Many tools can help you schedule tasks and ensure you get them done.
The one I like the most, at the moment, is Todoist.
Mainly because I can run it on the desktop, my tablet, my 'phone, or my web browser.
I can share a project with my wife, so we are always on the same page regarding shopping lists, appointments, etc.
It's free, although you can get a pro version for added functionality.
Give it a try.
Regards,
Brent.
~ end ~
This was the best advice to start this year. I keep adding and prioritising my tasks every day and ticking as I finish. I get the feeling I will stick to Todoist for a long time. Highly recommend to read the founders blog posts too. Highly inspiring and motivating too. Thank you Brent!!
