Pick up some Christmas cash on eBay.
Making a little extra for Christmas is easy as falling off a log.
We're doing a de-clutter around our place because.
Yep, just because.
I posted a few items on eBay because I thought I'd get a better price there than on Marketplace.
One of the items was a new pair of remotely controlled mirrors for a car.
I've owned these since the late '70s and never used them.
That makes them suitable for vintage vehicles, especially a modified one.
They sold almost overnight for the 'buy it now' price.
Other items haven't sold as fast, but everything sells at some price.
eBay runs an escrow service.
The buyer pays for the item, but the seller doesn't get paid until delivery has been confirmed or a specified time lapse.
You can sell almost anything you like on eBay, including making a commission on another person's sales.
It's true, they have an affiliate program that works surprisingly well.
I'm no power seller, but I have picked up a few tricks over the years of playing with this platform.
As a buyer, sniping works brilliantly.
What you do is place a bid on an item and wait.
When you're in the last minutes of the auction, check the bid.
If it's above your preferred price, back out.
If it's below your preferred price, enter your preferred price but don't submit it until there are only a few seconds to go.
You'll lose if there's a higher price, but if there isn't, you'll usually pay less than your top price.
As a seller, you can find items for sale on eBay to resell at a higher price by searching for "unwanted gift".
Unwanted gifts usually sell for a lot less than they should.
You don't even need to wrap the items up as they come to you wrapped.
All you need to do is stick a new label on them and ship them out.
Have fun.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. He has retired now, but one power seller sold guitar picks on eBay in bundles of 5 - 10 for cost.
A few days after confirmed delivery, he would contact the buyer and offer them a link to his website where he sold guitars.
He made a very comfortable living on the guitar sales.
eBay has buyer traffic.
They are looking for bargains but are prepared to buy almost anything.
Think about the products you can sell as an affiliate and how you could lead someone into your funnel with a small payment.
You cannot give stuff away on eBay, but you can sell it for $1.
