Because, by definition, they're followers!
Those who succeed are bold, creative, adaptable, innovative, fun, articulate, and don't care what anybody else says.
They're leaders.
Sure, they have to learn their way around, but once they have some idea of what they are doing, they branch out.
In I.M., following one particular guru's prescription may harm your business.
You can't just "take his word for it" that his method is correct for you.
When you read between the lines, you'll discover that the guru in question developed his method based on other methods.
He didn't blindly follow a single system.
You are a freelancer.
That's the nature of this business and virtually everyone who operates within it.
As a freelancer, you can do this however you see fit.
I.M. is more of an art than a science.
But the difference between the successful entrepreneur and the "wouldabeen" is that the successful entrepreneur learns the fundamentals (the science) and takes full ownership of the rest.
As much fun as this can be, it is NOT a game.
This is your life, freedom, and peace of mind on the line here.
You and you alone are the gatekeeper.
You're the first and last line of defence to your dreams.
If you won't defend them, who will?
It's your life, live it.
