Why Jewellers put very high priced items in the window.
Many jewellers put their most expensive items in the window as a marketing tool.
Most of them do not expect to sell those items.
They want to catch your attention and draw you into their store.
When you see a ten thousand dollar ring on display, the two thousand dollar ring seems cheap by comparison.
And it's still an expensive ring.
This marketing technique is called Cost Signalling and is a common way of making expensive things look better value.
Sometimes it's also done with the way you present things.
Jewellers will also often place their items onto a black velvet cloth to make the item look brighter for the same reason.
In the same vein, Rolls Royce stopped showing their cars at car shows and began showing them at private jet shows.
At a car show, they looked expensive, but at a private jet show, they seemed very cheap compared with a five million dollar jet.
Buying the Rolls becomes an almost impulse purchase.
You can use the same concept in your marketing by the way you present your content.
That's why it pays to have a good theme for your blog and have someone with graphic skills design your logo and headers.
First impressions count, and your images on your sites can make a massive difference to your sales and sign-ups, something worth testing.

Brent.
P.S. Your content needs to have an air of quality about it, and the best way to do that is to make sure that all your content reflects your character and your standards.
That bit is easy to do as all you have to do is write the way you would write to a friend.
Your personality will shine through.
Some structure is essential, though, because you'll potentially leave some stuff out or put things in the wrong order without it.
Your friend will ask questions to clarify, but your readers most likely will not.
