It's time to eat the frog.
Not a real frog.
That would have to be cooked and dipped in chocolate to be edible.
Eat the Frog is a productivity technique, possibly first mentioned by Mark Twain, who said, "If you have to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning.
If you have to eat two frogs, eat the biggest one first."
He was referring to the most important tasks you have to do each day.
They are not always the most urgent tasks but the biggest ones that move you towards your goals.
For example, if you want to write a book, your biggest task for the day would be to write a chapter or write for two hours.
It would not be to sharpen your pencils or check your emails.
You help yourself finish this task by setting it up at the end of the day before.
Again using the same idea of writing a book, you might leave your computer with your writing tool of choice open and the resources you need where you have easy access.
When you sit in front of the screen in the morning, it's ready for you to begin.
Eat that Frog first.
That's my new process.
I'll check emails and stats after the Frog is gone.
You can do the same, and it costs nothing.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. If you're struggling with your particular Frog, it may be because you don't have clearly defined goals and activities established yet.
The information and simple steps here will help you sort that out.
