It's claimed that puzzles make your mind stronger.
That may be true when you consider that any muscle that's not exercised atrophies and gets weaker.
If you consider your mind to be another muscle, it makes sense that exercising it must make it grow stronger.
But with physical exercise, you need to keep pushing the boundaries to build muscle.
Repeating the same exercises with the same effort might maintain the muscle groups but is unlikely to build them up.
That suggests that while reading is a mental exercise, it's probably insufficient to build up your brain.
For that to work, you'll need to take on bigger challenges.
If you search for logic puzzles, I'm certain you'll find websites full of them.
Think of it like going to the gym.
A little time spent every day or so pushing those little grey cells will stand you in good stead when you have other tasks to do.
