Information overload conceals the information you need.
When you don't know what you don't know, it's easy to feel like you have all the knowledge you need.
A few years back, there was a huge stink in political circles here in Australia over an email that purported to expose some dirty dealings by the other party.
The claim was able to be overshadowed by the accused party by insinuating that the email in question was a 'fake email'.
The lack of knowledge about how an email was sent or delivered was exploited when it could easily have been resolved by explaining that the email arrived in an inbox and, therefore, could not have been a 'fake email'.
The contents may have been fake, but the email was genuine.
In addition, the origin of the email could easily have been traced via all the servers it went through to expose the source, which may have been enough to explode the stunt in the faces of the perpetrators.
Deleting an email from your account does not delete it from every server it has passed through.
What the receiver didn't know hurt them badly.
This was a case of too little information of the correct type.
Nowadays, we get so much information thrown at us by people with an agenda that doesn't necessarily include helping us or even providing us with accurate facts.
"You can't handle the truth" comes to mind.
We could handle the truth if it were presented to us, but I suspect that propaganda is more likely to be delivered than the truth.
When it comes to marketing, there is so much conflicting information presented that it's challenging to filter the kernels of actionable truth from the chaff.
For example, most people trying to sell products on 'how to make money online' have never made a living online in any niche.
It's a real live example of the blind trying to lead the blind.
No wonder most of those products won't help you.
To help you filter the chaff, you can always reply to any email and ask.
In addition, you can be confident that if I recommend something, it's because I know the vendor, use the product, or created it.

P.S. For those who might be interested, I'm recovering well from my bike crash.
I'm in a rehabilitation hospital and will be here for another few weeks.
I'm walking short distances with a frame and have now gained independence for most of my activities except the transfer to and from the twice-daily pool therapy sessions.
Now that I have access to my computer and their wifi, I'll try to get back to more regular emails, but no promises, as the pain-killing drugs make me tired and a little fuzzy sometimes.
