Motivation is often fleeting.
A pep talk before a game is described as "hot bath" motivation.
That means the players can go out to play all revved up, but that often only lasts until the first failing play.
Then the negative thoughts start to creep in.
"I'm not good enough."
"They're better than we are."
"He should have made that shot."
You probably know that type of internal chatter.
The problem with that is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
That negative feedback becomes real as more and more things go wrong or against you.
That warm sensation from the hot bath wears off once you're out of the water, and you cool down quickly.
Motivation is great to get you started, but it is useless to get you to the finish line unless you can get some of the hot bath motivation daily, and even then, it'll wear off by lunchtime.
What does work is persistence.
When you set yourself to do a particular action every day, or once a week, whatever you choose, you'll win.
When you do that action at the time you set and stick to your plan, you'll reach your goal.
When you do your set activity, regardless of whether you feel like it or not is when you'll move ahead of the pack because they won't.
Motivation will help you set the goal and the activity required to achieve it, but it will not help you during the grind time of doing what you need to do.
This year, my initial goal was to ride the bike 3 times a week.
Once I had that routine locked in, I set new goals on how far to ride each day.
Then the goal became to improve the time it took to complete the loop.
I'm getting closer.
In the meantime, I'm fitter than I have been for years, and my weight has come down to nearly being inside the ideal weight range for me.
I set activity goals, and the other goals take care of themselves.
I also set activity goals for my Internet marketing, and the financial ones will take care of themselves.
You can do the same.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. To build a successful Internet business requires only a few simple steps.
You need a product to sell, but it doesn't have to be yours.
You need a group of people who might be interested in buying the product.
You need a way to put that offer in front of them.
Some people will tell you that you need to find the group of people first and find out what shared problem they have.
Then you find or create a solution to that problem and put that offer in front of them.
I don't think it matters a whole lot if you find the group first or the product first you still have to match the solution (product) to the group with the problem.
There is one type of product that is easy to find or create that is always in demand and will always sell to some niche group.
When you find or create this type of product, you will always find a market.
The way to find and create this particular product type is revealed in this simple publication. https://go.wm-tips.com/solved.
