Choosing the horse for the course is crucial.
I don't know the origin of the phrase "horses for courses", but it makes sense to me.
For example, there is no point in putting a trotter into a jumps race.
However, this also applies to your choice of tools for your Internet marketing.
If you only want a simple, free blog, then Blogger works fine.
If you want more control, then Wordpress.com works, or you can set up your own hosted version with WordPress.org.
Those are all simple solutions, but scaling them can be challenging.
The next step for most of us would be either LeadsLeap or Systeme.
LeadsLeap is a great free page builder, email autoresponder, tracker, and a limited source of traffic.
Limited because the bulk of people seeing your ads are doing so to get more eyeballs on their ads.
That doesn't preclude you from sourcing traffic from other places.
Systeme doesn't have any built-in traffic, but it does have some features that LeadsLeap doesn't.
It has an affiliate program built in for your use.
It has a blogging system built in.
It has a membership system built in.
The tracking is not as good as LeadsLeap.
You could do your tracking through LeadsLeap for your landing pages on Systeme or have the initial landing page on LeadsLeap but have the rest of your sales funnel on Systeme, including the autoresponder.
Two free platforms that you can combine for maximum effect.
Since they are both simple platforms to use and have extensive training modules, mixing and matching is easy.
