Can you make money reading books?
Not if that’s all you do, but if you can write good reviews or proofread a book the answer is yes.
You may not make a living doing this, but if you like to read and you’re capable of writing a review or correcting typos etc. then you can make a bit of extra cash.
Here are five websites that will pay you to review or proofread books.
Scribe Media and Verblio are similar platforms that allow you to select books from a wide variety of genres, read them, and write reviews.
Proofreading Pal is designed for those who are skilled at proofreading and editing. This platform connects freelancers with companies that need their books reviewed and polished.
Cactus Communications is another platform for professional editors and proofreaders to collaborate with authors and help refine their manuscripts.
WordsRU is an established platform for editors and proofreaders to review books and provide feedback to authors.
Your actual earnings may vary based on the specific job, the complexity of the work, and the rates set by the platform or client, but there is a possibility to earn up to $100 per hour according to these websites.
I find that hard to believe, but substantial income may be possible.
Most of these sites have fairly stringent requirements, but that’s why they can pay what they do.
Anyway, the links are not affiliate links so check them out and let me know what you think.

Brent.
