One mistake we all make when starting out.
Unless you have already learned how to be successful, you are probably making this mistake right now.
That mistake is over-preparing.
In our natural desire to make sure that what we do works, we will often start buying courses and tools that we think might be useful.
Many of them won't be.
You won't know if you need these because you haven't done anything yet.
Some of you do know what tools you need and what training you need because you are already building a business.
Most of you haven't built anything much yet or driven much traffic to your landing pages.
That can stop today.
Write down what you want to do.
Write down the minimum steps to get there.
Write down the process to accomplish each step.
Start executing that plan.
Stop to do research and answer questions ONLY as they arise and ONLY if it stops you from moving to the next step in the plan.
Look for answers only when you hit an obstacle.
There's no need to solve problems you don't have and may never have.
Find the first answer to your problem, try it, if it works, stop looking until it fails you.
Here's how to get moving.
Establish the end goal.
Strip it down to a minimal starting point.
Break that down to single sub-goals.
Start working on the first sub-goal.
Work until you hit a roadblock that you can't fix in an hour.
Don't spend any more time on that, move on to the next sub-goal.
Keep at it until you have nothing more you can do, then ask for help for the roadblocks.
In summary — Keep it simple. Only solve problems that occur. Ask for help on any problem that has taken you an hour without fixing it.
Regards,
Brent.
P.S. There's a saying that says is: "Done is better than perfect."
What does it mean, though, and how does it affect your life?
Remember, perfection is an illusion.
Imperfection is our common heritage, and it can be the source of our greatest power.
The real problem with trying to be perfect is often you won't get anything accomplished.
Like Robert H. Schuller says… "Better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing flawlessly."
The challenge for most of us is that we strive not to make mistakes when mistakes are what we learn from best.
We should be embracing our mistakes and flaws because they teach us far more than perfection ever could.
