A dingo walked through our campsite last night.
A dingo is an Australian wild dog.
They're about the same size as a medium-sized dog and generally not dangerous.
This one followed up on the smell of the meat cooking, thinking there would be an easy meal.
It's definitely not a good idea to feed any dingo as they begin to depend on handouts.
That leads to them being less timid around humans which can lead to them becoming aggressive when they don’t get a free meal.
In addition, human food is not healthy for them.
It was easy to drive this one off.
As you might have gathered from this email, I’m not anywhere near home.
We are camped at Kings Canyon in the Northern Territory.
Most definitely in the outback.
We are 1,600 km from home almost due North.
Four days driving.
This is spectacular country, but the Internet isn’t good enough to post any photos so they’ll have to wait until we return.
Regards,
Brent.
