The big problem with the Information Age.
Way too much information and we're all drowning in information overload.
Harvard educator Shawn Achor wrote a book on the information plague called Before Happiness.
In it, he looks at the link between getting crap info OUT of your life and the increased probability of achieving your goals.
He does this by defining noise in categories, including 'unusable', 'untimely', and 'distracting'.
If the information you're taking in won't alter your actions or behaviours, ignore it — it's unusable noise.
If you're not going to use the information soon, and if the story could change by the time you're ready to use it, ignore it — it's untimely noise.
And if anything you read or hear puts you off course from your long-term goals, ignore it — it's distracting noise.
Achor describes many other versions of noise.
The common theme is that it's incoherent.
It's simply sound, often unpleasant and undesired.
In the world of marketing, noise is something we should be trying to cut out as much as possible.
But the problem is, we don't often know the difference between noise and valuable information.
That's because we're dealing with uncertainty.
And we are biologically wired to reduce uncertainty.
It's not something that we can easily overcome either.
The best way to control your uptake of information is to specialise in one niche and one type of marketing.
For example, you could specialise in affiliate products and Facebook ads.
Or you could specialise in drop-shipped physical products with Instagram ads.
Whatever you choose, stick to your niche and marketing method.
All niches and methods can be successful, some have upper limits, but most don't.
When you specialise and ONLY read content or buy products based on your niche or marketing method, you cut down the volume of information you have to process.
Eventually, you'll find that you know more than anyone else in your field of expertise, and then you can sell the insider information if you choose.

Brent.
P.S. Several marketers I follow began by specialising and developing their tweak on existing profitable business methods.
One, in particular, has fine-tuned his online business to the point where he sends one email a day, works for less than 3 hours on the days he works, and still makes a comfortable living.
He's been doing this for decades, and he is so open about what he does that he will share with you all the details of his process.
He'll even help you with additional assistance when you buy some of his products.
I email him reasonably regularly, and he always replies with helpful answers.
You can get the same insider information and help that I do.
Check this out, grab his free offer and learn more from that than you will from almost any expensive funnel on Warrior plus.
