🌿 What happens when you talk to plants? 🌻
How to gain the undivided attention of another person, with words.
Scientists have discovered that every time you talk to someone or listen to someone, your brain changes.
Apparently, our brains are flexible and malleable.
There is a TedX Talk about this called "After this, your brain will not be the same."Â
.
When you talk to a Wombat, there is an excellent chance that he/she will ignore anything you said and go back to being a mobile rock, which they are very good at.

One of the things about getting people's interest in whatever you are saying is to get their brains fully involved in what you say, even when it's in written form, like this email.

But how do you get their interest when you can't see their faces?

When you can't tell if they are distracted by other events?
In my previous life, I lived in a timber-framed house in a tiny town (six houses) near Mount Gambier in South Australia.
One cold November evening, I had lit the wood fire and had the door of the firebox open to assist the draw.
I was talking on the telephone with my accountant when I noticed sparks falling from the ceiling.
I immediately said to him "I'll call you back. The roof is on fire" and hung up.

I then called the fire brigade, threw a bucket of water into the firebox, climbed on the roof with the hose and poured water down the flue.

Three fire trucks arrived, the one in the driveway, which was blocking it, couldn't get their water to pump. It was a brand new truck, and they didn't know there was a tap under the tank.
Fortunately, what I had done had already extinguished the fire, so we didn't need the fire trucks.

When I rang the accountant back several hours later, he had been sitting by the phone waiting for me to call back.
Did I have his interest?
You bet I did.
And I got his total focus for 2 hours with nine words.
"I'll call you back. The roof is on fire."

Which proves that you can have someone spellbound, even when you can't see their face, with only the words you use.

Regards,
Brent.

P.S. If you want to have people hanging on your every word, or even every second word, then you need to learn how to write better.
You learn how to write better by writing more.
Write every day. And post it somewhere public.
Look for the reactions of the people who read what you write.
Do they agree?
Do they take action, like clicking the links or other actions?
Start by learning how to write reviews, then practice every day with another one.
Start here. https://link.wm-tips.com/reviews.

For those of you who really want to know what happens when you talk to plants, that's called an open loop and is used to get people to read all your email.
It also happens to be interesting.
Scientists have discovered that plants 'remember' people who talk to them nicely and react in positive ways.
They also react to people who talk to them nastily and react in negative ways, almost like cringing.
If you want your plants to grow well, talk to them nicely.
You still have to water them and fertilise them though.
